It's Back to Work I Go!

I am so glad I had the holidays to relax, and piddle.  We won't even discuss the amount of PJ days that were had in our household.  I truly enjoy being home, playing games with the kids, and catching up on movies that we have been wanting to see.  As I type this, we are headed for one last outing.  We're taking the kids to Dave and Buster's for some game fun, and then some shopping! (They don't know about that part. They aren't as fond of it as I am. I do hope for some good deals!)

The past few days I've been working on and off on some new products.  I need my life to be EASIER.  I get so wrapped up in school sometimes, that I feel like I neglect my family.  I want....no I need...more time with my family.  That's why I've created the following products.  I'm hoping that it makes life in the classroom easier---AND helps make it easier for you too! :)

First up, we have January Journal Prompts.  There are 20 different writing prompts/activities that are ready to be printed and used for morning work, or a January collection of writing samples.
Here is a sample page from the prompts above.
You can click the picture above to grab you a copy.

I also created two packs of centers.  Here is Ice Ice Baby--Ready to Print Literacy Stations..
Click HERE to see it on TpT.

In this packet,  you will find a variety of ready to print games for your literacy stations.  The following skills are included: rhyming, beginning blends, beginning digraphs, CvC words, CvCe words, vowel pairs, syllables, contractions, predictions, sight words, nouns, verbs, adjectives (all in one sort), and plurals (s, and es).  The games can be used to differentiate your instruction.

I also created a math version similar to the pack above.
Click HERE to see it on TpT.
The skills in this pack are patterns, addition and subtraction facts (games using facts to and from 10, and a game using facts to 20), hundreds chart activities, comparing numbers (up to 120), and doubles and doubles + 1 (used as a Math Hunt).

The games in these packs are similar games, with varying skills.  I choose to do it that way for two reasons.  One, as I said, I wanted things to be EASY! :)  The other reason is the month of December, my little guy was sick A LOT.  I stayed home with him, and it was hard to leave my stations out for a sub, and to prepare for a sub.  Now my firsties will be introduced to the games, know how to play it, and I just adjust the skill/activity.  This will also help on those days I'm pulled away from the classroom for meetings and need something fun and meaningful for my students to do.  These packs should get me through the month of January....and I will have more family time! :)  It's a win-win for me!

I did *discount* if you are interested in a Combo pack.
You can click HERE to see it on TpT.

  5. I'm not ashamed to say that five of my days were spent in jammies. It was cold here, so I had no plans on going outside to freeze. It was very nice to just lay around and not get in a hurry to do anything. Enjoy your family time, the shopping, and the weekend!

  8. I just found your blog and I love all your resources! Thank you so much! I write the plans for ELA at my school and will be using these!

I do have a question. I noticed that you use Treasures - we use Texas Treasures. I have tried to see if they coordinate, but I am struggling. I love your quizzes to go along with the stories.

    Thanks for any insight
