Back to School--

Okay, I need to get back into the school mode (seeing how tomorrow is my first "work day"), but boy, it's SOOO hard to do.

Let's start off with my "theme" this year.
I have said before, I don't go all out, but I did want to incorporate some color and cupcakes/sweet treats.  Imagine that, huh?   Since I'm still working in my classroom, I only have a few pictures to share.

First up, my alphabet cards.

I also like using a clip chart.  I started it last year, and I think it was a good change as students get to IMPROVE their behavior and I feel it encourages positive behaviors instead of focusing on negative.
I switched from my jungle-ish one to a cupcake style.

I love all the bright colors in these two products.
I of course had to change my word wall cards and parts for my calendar.
(I like to ring my cards and flip them over when we do calendar)
So here's more color for my room.
I just love the colors and styles that the Bubbly Blonde,JW Illustrations, KG fonts, and Sassy Paper Designs use so I could have such pretty colors for my classroom.  You know what's great?  IF you like these...you can click HERE to grab your own free set.  (I wouldn't even mind if you pinned something from this post) ;)

So that's PART of my color scheme/theme/decor this year.
But what am I doing when those kiddos come back?

Well, we're making a cupcake craft for our door. I will share that later.

I'm doing the First Grader, First Grader book.

Last year we made Splat the Cat, and it seemed to be a big hit.

But what I'm ready to dive into with this new group of kiddos are these two things.
I had a post earlier this summer on this with a few freebies.

AND the Kindergarten Review Pack

And on their desks the first morning they arrive, they will find one of these coloring sheets.
Thanks to Melonheadz, Fancy Dog, Scrappin Doodles and KG Fonts for the great graphics in these!
IF you like these, you can grab your freebie HERE.

I hope you enjoy your freebies (I do love love in the comments HINT HINT ;) )
Ohh--and don't forget about the sale too!
MY STORE is on sale until tomorrow night!

I will leave you with a little humor-before I head off for the night to laminate.

  2. Thanks for the cute freebie! I'm going to try putting my things on a ring this year, too. My kiddos come back tomorrow and even though I've been working on my room a little at a time, I STILL don't feel ready. Have a great first day!
