I'll make this short and simple. I made a few things today (is it wrong that I stayed in jammies today? I did clean the house, but ohhh well). At my school, we have PLC's. I'm on a professional development one--where we are supposed to share our best practices with each other and then report back to our grade level teams. Anyhoo---Scoot came up (But not by me, can ya believe it?! :) I love Scoot. One of our K teachers hadn't heard of it, so I told her I'd make her up some cards for beginning sounds if she'd like to try it out. I was trying to keep it simple, so I didn't even give choices. I thought for littler guys it may be easier just to write the letter in a scoot box. I dunno?
You can click the sample picture below if you'd like to grab a copy of it.
And then I started working on things for my firsties for next week. I made this penguin sort. You can click the sample picture to grab it if you'd like. It's a short i/long i (silent e) sort with a recording sheet.
Then I thought, well since I'm still in jammies, maybe I can try to make something for TPT. So here's a sneak peek. Pardon the preview picture, it's not the best..it's a 33 page file, and I was running out of room. This file includes math fact families, part/part/whole, catch a rhyme game (with long/short i), penguin sight word game (played like Bang/Crash).
I'm in the mood for a quick giveaway. This is available in TPT, BUT....I will give it away to the first 13 FOLLOWERS (that means I want to see your wonderful name under my follower list :) ) to comment. 13 is the lucky number due to how many years I've been blessed to spend with my best friend/hubby! :) Don't forget to leave your email and I will send it out to you! :)

ReplyDeleteSusie, Chicago
Susie,
ReplyDeleteScoot is a classroom game. You can google and find lots of task cards and information about it. You can also click on the games section of my blog to read about it. Hope that helps! :)
I missed the freebie but was willing to check it out in TPT. However, I can't find your TPT store and the link at the top of the blog just links to TPT, not your store. What's your link?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the notice on my link. I "think" I just fixed it. Otherwise you can click here to grab it.
